Hello, stranger,
I am a Lithuanian textile artist with a focus on weaving and art education. In my weaving practice I explore the relationship between time and labour, often playing around with the boundary between craft and art.
Currently I am on a lookout for a studio so I can host recurring educational weaving workshops where individuals would learn about weaving through hands-on experiences.
Addendum after undisclosed:
I used to see weaving as closely connected to computers, due to its significant role in the creation of the first one. Weaving for me now goes beyond the binary language of 0s and 1s.
I’ve stopped following precise plans and enjoy not knowing exactly what I’m weaving. I let shifting circumstances guide the weaving process, making it unexpected and more playful.
The only clear thing left in my weaving practice are the warps.
